COLUMBUS, Ohio - A final coroner's report shows an Ohio man who released dozens of wild animals and then killed himself had no alcohol or illegal drugs in his system.
The Columbus Dispatch reports the findings released Wednesday also confirm that 62-year-old Terry Thompson died after he put a gun to the roof of his mouth and fired. And, the report indicates he was bitten and clawed by large cats immediately after his death Oct. 18 on his property near Zanesville in eastern Ohio.
Sheriff's deputies were forced to kill 48 loose exotic animals including bears, lions and endangered Bengal tigers.
Three leopards, two primates and a grizzly bear survived the big-game hunt and are now in the care of the Columbus zoo.
The answer is no. Gotta be. Who has the mental wherewithal to house and maintain 50+ exotic and dangerous animals for years on end and then just throws in the towel when he's got the Zoo Game by the beansack? I mean, come on. No drugs or alcohol in his system and he just goes Looney Toons and dismantles his home Zoo. Hmm suspect at best.
If the dude has some mental issues OK, I get it, but don't the crazies all think the world is gonna end in 2012 anywho? He's in the home stretch. 11 months to go and Terry Thompson just bows out. Serving up his brains like Mozzarella Sticks for some Bengal appetizers. Nah, Dude. Something doesn't add up here, something doesn't add up. My money is on an inside job. Somebody better be collecting Koala Bear fibers at the scene. I don't trust those Eukalyptus eating monkeyfuckers as far as I can throw em, which is surprisingly far.
